We often start off our weekend roundup of concerts by talking about how much there is to in Phoenix on any given weekend. And we're never lying -- we swear -- but this weekend is really packed. Saturday alone is bursting: internet star George Lindell MCs the Property Six CD release show at the Clubhouse; prog-metalheads Opeth take over the Marquee; and World Class Thugs release a brand new album at Lost Leaf.
But that's not all. Each Friday we bring you five shows you need to see, spanning the reaches of the Valley.
Friday, October 21:
Valley metal, sludge, and doom groups ZiRoh, Twin Giant, Enirva, and Sea of Our Escape bring downtuned crunchiness to Hollywood Alley.
The Game hits Venue Scottsdale (bring tunes from R.E.D. Album with him).
Saturday, October 22:
Designer Drugs bring its cyberpunk sounds to Foundry on First.
Daryl Scherrer (also known as Daryl Scariot, of Turn Back O Man and Where Dead Voices Gather), Pick and Holler, Monophonic Hillside, letdownright and Dry River Yacht Club bring sounds to accompany the eats at the Phoenix Food Truck Festival on Roosevelt Row.
Sunday, October 23:
MIlls End brings its "fun rock 'n' roll" to The Rogue Bar.
