Sometimes you see a press photo of a band and laugh. Is one guy staring artfully away from the others? Are they pressed against a brick wall? Are they all making the goofy face?

Phoenix-based metal band Howitzer isn't having any of that. Seriously -- look at these guys. They look ready to haul off and kick some ass. We're betting that will be the case at Martini Ranch tonight, where they are scheduled to perform with Play for Blood Until Chaos, Ti22, Lost in Lies, and Grudghold. It'll be loud -- way loud -- which is the perfect way to celebrate 11-11-11, or as we like to call it, Nigel Tufnel Day.

Friday, November 11:

Howitzer is scheduled to perform at Martini Ranch in Scottsdale.

California jazz-funkers Delta Nove hit the Sail Inn, which local support by Dry River Yacht Club.

Saturday, November 12:

Classic Arizona band Major Lingo is scheduled to perform at Hollywood Alley.

Post punks The Father Figures bring their angular sound to the George & Dragon Pub.

Sunday, November 13:

Singer/songwriter Cory Branan brings his Americana jams to The Rhythm Room, with locals Matthew Reveles, JD Stooks,and The Worrymen.
