Metric, who sound like a poppier, gentler version of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, are dropping a new album, Synthetica, on June 12. They'll be hitting up the Marquee Theatre in support of the record, but it's likely that they'll perform old hits such as "Help I'm Alive" and "Gimme Sympathy" as well.

By the way, remember how we said just last week that we'd like to see Yeasayer return to Arizona? We're not going to say that they read our blog and are replying in kind, but they are indeed come back to Phoenix.

Metric, Yeasayer, Lightning Bolt and other bands will be coming through Phoenix to rock out toward the end of the summer, and we can hardly wait.
