Z-Trip\'s Bling

Phoenician ex-patriate and now Los Angelian DJ Z-Trip, who I've toured through the Pacific Northwest with before and is currently hitting up European dance floors, has been pretty damn busy lately, getting married in this summer and posting some new and old cuts on his website and continuing his mash-up legacy.

Z-Trip's an amazing turntablist and mixologist, but I just don't know what he's thinking with the last mix he sent me though - a mash-up of Chic's "Good Times" with Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy." "Crazy" has to be the most singularly annoying song of 2006, whether your mom and your little sister both dig it or not. Much like Outkast's "Hey Ya," the thing just drives me fucking nuts.
