When you put your key in the ignition and turn on the radio, what station would play right now? I'm without a vehicle at the moment, but when I did have one it was Mix 96.9-FM. How could you not listen to a station that will play "Pina Colada" and "Paradise City" back to back?

What's the first album you bought? The soundtrack to the The Rocky Horror Picture Show. I used to dress up and sing along when I was little. My mom thought it was just a scary movie until she saw me acting out "Sweet Transvestite."

What's the first concert you saw? I actually saw U2 open up for the J. Geils Band at Veterans Memorial Coliseum. So long ago, I can't even remember what year. I think I was about 9.

What's your favorite concert you've ever been to? That's a tough one. I would say it has to be Peter Gabriel's Secret World Tour in '93. He blew me away.

What's the last song played on your music player? Emmylou Harris' cover of Chuck Berry's "You Never Can Tell (C'est La Vie)."

Preferred format: CD, vinyl, cassette, 8-Track or digital? Vinyl, although I no longer have a record player, so most of my stuff is on CD.

What's your favorite album? Beastie Boys' Paul's Boutique. It's always amazing.

Who is your favorite singer or band? Definitely the Beastie Boys. I started following them when they first toured with Madonna and fell in love.

What band do you wish was still together? The Beatles. No question.

Does you computer track how many times you've played something -- if so, what's at the top of the list? Not applicable. I'm old school.

What was your favorite new or new-to-you album from the past year? Jack White's Blunderbuss. He is so multitalented, it's mind-blowing.

What one song would you play if you had a world-wide radio audience? "The Divided Sky," by Phish. My friend Sean makes me listen to them constantly, and although I hated that song at first, I get something new out of it every time I hear it.

Who is your favorite local artist? Marmalade Skies! They are a Beatles tribute band with seven members and an arsenal of guitars. My cousin Mark Aguirre is the guitarist and a founder of the group! Go see them!

What is your favorite local venue to see music? The Rhythm Room. Great ambiance and the perfect place to see your faves.

What is your favorite music video? So many Beastie Boys videos to choose from, but I would have to say "Sabatoge." I've watched that video so many times I can't count and enjoy each and every one.
