Covering The Beatles is tough. Not only to you have to contend with tackling some of the greatest songs in the pop catalog, but you also have to deal with the fact that nearly every Beatles song has been covered to death.

It helps to have effortless charm on your side though, and former-Format member Sam Means has got that in spades with his cover of "I Will."

The first in a potential series called "Live From My Cell Phone," Means recorded the cover on a whim, and has released it for free in advance of his new EP, NONA, due out on April 21 (Record Store Day).

Means has been busy since the Format split. He soundtracked The Sinking of Santa Isabel in 2009, and had his song "Yeah Yeah" featured in a McDonalds commercial, and has been making a splash with this visual design.

He's been issuing fun singles via BandCamp, like the killer "Sick," which hopefully indicates NOMA will kick out a few jams.
