The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office announced today that charges have been filed against one suspect in the 2008 murder of a Tucson woman who was once featured as one of Maxim Magazine's "Hometown Hotties."
Kelly Soo Park, 44, was arrested Thursday -- along with 34-year-old Ronnie Wayne Case, an amateur racecar driver who hasn't been charged yet -- in connection with the 2008 murder of then-21-year-old actress Juliana Redding in Los Angeles.
Redding, a Tucson native and graduate of Salpointe Catholic High School, moved to Los Angeles to further her acting/modeling career in 2006.
Any career Redding may have had was cut short when she was found murdered in her home on March 16, 2008, after her mother had police check her apartment when she hadn't heard from her for several days.
According to a press release from the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, Redding was found assaulted and beaten to death.
We spoke to L.A. County D.A.'s office spokeswoman Sandi Gibbons who wouldn't disclose what -- if any -- relationship Redding had with her alleged killer.
Pending further investigation, prosecutors declined to immediately charge Case, Gibbons says, but charges are expected.
Park, however, has been officially charged with murder and prosecutors are recommending her bail be set at $1 million.
If convicted, Park's lookin' at 25 to life.
