With the D-Backs not turning any heads and the Suns and Coyotes not generating much news, it's time to focus on football.
Even if it's just the announcement that single-game tickets for the 2010 season go on sale this Saturday.
More information after the jump.
From the team's Web site:
"Individual game tickets will be available to the general public on Saturday, July 31 at 10:00 AM exclusively through Ticketmaster. Fans can purchase on-line at www.ticketmaster.com, by phone (800-745-3000), or at participating Arizona Ticketmaster ticket centers. These include locations at Fry's/Fry's Marketplace. F.Y.E., and La Curacao. Fans should check with each individual outlet for hours of operation, as they vary by location and there will be a limit of eight tickets per transaction. Tickets will not be available until Monday, August 2 at the Cardinals Tempe training facility box office (8:30 AM-5:00 PM) or the University of Phoenix Stadium (10:00 AM-6:00 PM)."
There is a catch, however, regarding select games on the schedule.
As the Cardinals have increased in popularity over the past few seasons, their exposure and national televised games have increased, culminating in two primetime games this year.
The first is a Monday night affair with the San Francisco Giants on November 29. The second is a December 25 tilt with the Dallas Cowboys.
To get tickets to these big games, fans must purchase one of two "Protect The Nest" plans, which are for three games and start at $150 plus fees and such.
The Red Plan features the Dec. 25 game vs. Dallas along with two others: August 14 vs. Houston and October 10 vs. New Orleans.
The White Plan features the Monday night game against San Francisco with the home opener against Oakland on September 26 and vs. Tampa Bay on October 31.
The Cardinals host the Cowboys, Raiders, Broncos, Buccaneers, Saints, 49ers, Rams and Seahawks this season.
Get out there early Cards fans and get your tickets. With such a weak division, the playoffs are possible again.
