But it's a run the D-Backs will take, as it gave them a sweep of the New York Mets with a 4-3 win.
Chris Snyder singled home Justin Upton in the bottom of the 14th for the game-winner.
After nearly five hours of baseball, it was finally over. And it was the D-Backs' first three-game sweep in almost a year.
Snyder said he was just hoping to end the game: "I just wanted to just get good wood on it and get out of here. Everyone else was ready to go home, as well."
There were pit stains of awfulness throughout the whole game from both teams. From base running blunders to errors in the field, this was an ugly one to watch.
But the biggest failure came at the plate, where both teams combined for 32 strikeouts. There were also 25 total runners left on base.
The Mets struck first in the opening frame with a solo home run by Angel Pagan, giving New York a 1-0 lead.
But Chris Young tied the game with a rocket shot to left field to lead it off in the bottom of the first.
Rusty Ryal got into the long-ball fest himself, belting a home run to left field to lead off the second inning to give the Snakes a 2-1 lead.
But Pagan responded in the third inning with a double to right-center and later scored on a single by Carlos Beltran.
Mark Reynolds' 22nd home run of the season gave the Snakes a 3-2 lead in the fourth.
Another solo home run followed in the top of the sixth, this one by Rod Barajas, to tie the game at 3.
The Snakes had a golden chance in the eighth to break the tie, but Reynolds lined into a double play with two men on. Tony Abreu later struck out swinging to end the threat.
Another glorious chance came in the 12th inning as the D-Backs had the bases loaded with one out. But Stephen Drew popped up (on a 2-0 pitch) and Adam LaRoche flied out.
Still, manager Kirk Gibson was proud of his team for getting the win - and not falling asleep like most fans seemed to do.
"They really mentally stayed up and hung in there," he said.
Gibson also credited his bullpen, which gave up only one hit in eight superb innings of work.
"They've been working hard," Gibson said. "I think they are better prepared and more confident."
Dan Haren was solid in his start, but was pulled after only six innings because of a high pitch count. In all, Haren pitched six innings, giving up three runs and six hits. While he struck out eight, he was doomed by two home runs.
The D-Backs open up a four-game series with the San Francisco Giants tonight. Rodrigo Lopez (5-8, 4.62 ERA) gets the start against Matt Cain (7-8, 3.30 ERA) for the Giants.
