As police knocked on his door with a search warrant, 20-year-old Christopher Cruz made a last-ditch attempt to get rid of a stash of weed at his Casa Grande home, according to the Pinal County Sheriff's Office.
PCSO says Cruz tried to flush his pot -- four pounds of it.
As you can see from the photos, the plan was unsuccessful.
A PCSO spokesman says members of the Pinal County Narcotics Task force were serving a warrant at Cruz's Casa Grande home on Tuesday.
Officers found Cruz in the bathroom, still trying to flush the stash.
In total, detectives recovered four pounds of pot from the bathroom, according to the Sheriff's Office.
Add in three guns Cruz allegedly kept in the home, plus two children, and he was booked into jail on charges of marijuana possession, possession of marijuana for sale, misconduct involving weapons, destruction of evidence, and two counts of endangerment.
Cruz, who has a prior felony conviction for criminal damage, is being held without bond, according to the Sheriff's Office.
Pinal County Sheriff Jay Leno Paul Babeu issued a statement saying, "Suspect Cruz attempted to flush nearly four pounds of marijuana down the toilet to avoid arrest. I'm sure he now wishes he invested in a plunger for his house and he may have gotten away with the possession charge."
