An employee at Dick's Cabaret, an all-male strip club in Phoenix, accidentally shot another worker dead while he was unloading a handgun, police say.

At about 7:30 p.m. last night, Gordon Bryan, 32, had been working on a camera fixture when the bullet flew toward him -- just a random, tragic, wrong-place/wrong-time death, apparently. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 24-year-old suspect hasn't yet been named by police or accused of a crime, but you're almost always in the wrong -- ethically, if not legally -- when you shoot an innocent person.

Still, freak accidents do happen. Police are still investigating.

Clearly, the accidental shooter will have to account for why he failed
to heed the most basic rule of firearm safety: Don't point the gun at
something you don't mean to destroy.
