Conservatives at the Capitol are beseeching Republican Congressional leaders to call on President Obama to boot out Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano.

Discussion is rampant that two Congressmen, House Minority Leader John Boehner of Ohio and Minority Whip Eric Cantor of Virginia may call for the resignation of Napolitano, Arizona's former governor, when they meet with Obama tomorrow, says The Hill. Seems conservatives are ticked over the recent report by Homeland Security that right-wingers are the Al-Qaida of America.

From the article:

Rep. Mary Fallin (R-Okla.) said she could be considered a terrorist under the report's definition.

"I serve my nation, I'm in my third year of Congress, I serve my state, I own shotguns, I believe in the Second Amendment; I don't consider myself to be a threat on the scale of terrorism; I'm just a working mom who believes in the right to bear arms," Fallin said.

Obama isn't going to fire Napolitano, of course. But if he did, it looks like there might be a wide-open spot for governor in 2010.
