The Maricopa County Attorney's Office says it won't prosecute a Peoria couple for taking nude photos of their young daughters in a bathtub because there is "no reasonable likelihood of conviction." In a case that's drawn national attention, Lisa and Anthony Demaree lost custody of their children for a month after a Wal-Mart photo shop employee reported the family's bathtub photos to authorities. The couple is now suing the state of Arizona, the city of Peoria, the state attorney general, and Wal-Mart...In what some sports pundits are calling "the end of an error," Wayne Gretzky resigned as head coach of the Phoenix Coyotes yesterday. His replacement is Dave Tippett, who coached the Dallas Stars for the last six seasons...The Arizona Broadcasters Hall of Fame will induct four well-known Valley media personalities at an induction ceremony on October 29. Inductees include news anchor Kent Dana and radio DJ Dave Pratt...

A 15 year-old student was fatally stabbed to death at Pinnacle High School in Mesa yesterday.  According to reports, a fight broke out at the entrance to the school after morning classes, and the student was stabbed multiple times. Police have an unnamed suspect, who they say is not a student at Pinnacle High School, but someone familiar to other students at the school...Police say people arrested yesterday at a suspected "chop shop" have connections to the Hell's Angels motorcycle gang. According to police, two of the six people taken into custody are members of the gang, and two others are associates of the Hell's Angels. Police have not released the names of those arrested...On Sunday morning, professional demolition crews will bring down the skeleton of a 10-story office building at Third Street and Earll. Crews expect to finish rigging the building with 150 pounds of explosives on Saturday. The explosion, scheduled for 10 a.m. Sunday morning, will be taped for inclusion in a reality show on TLC.
