A spokesman for APS says the company's seen a 45 percent increase in power thefts, with people running cables to utility lines or neighbors' homes. APS says high jacking power is not only illegal, but dangerous, and vows to prosecute power thieves. SRP, on the other hand, reports that power thefts are down because of "smart meters" that detect possible power thefts faster...A light rail train hit a car at Central and Highland last night, after the car reportedly turned in front of the train. No injuries were reported, but the train was said to have skidded 25 feet after the collision before coming to a stop...City officials in Glendale want the light rail path that's planned for the west side to run to Glendale's stadiums, rather than to downtown Glendale. But Phoenix officials say they can't provide funding to redirect the route...the Arizona Cardinals have re-signed linebacker Clark Haggans to a three-year contract. Haggans signed with the Cardinals as a free agent in 2008, after playing eight seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers...Would you like some crappy speed made from household chemicals with that perm? One analyst likened the Pelosi video to "watching one's head disappear in a pool of quicksand."
