Three women who worked at a massage parlor in Yuma have been arrested for allegedly running a prostitution ring out of the business. Won Shil Shim, Muae Park, and Hyun Joo Song, all Korean citizens, were charged after an ongoing investigation into the Somerton parlor. Shim was released on more than $10,000 bail; the other two women remain jailed...Arizona and Maricopa County officials have reached an agreement that will halt the construction of single-family homes near Luke Air Force Base in Glendale. The settlement, which ends a year-long debate about residential encroachment, prohibits single-family development in high-accident and noise areas around the base...Arizona Department of Public Safety employee Teisa Simone Mayfield Vallejo was indicted on two counts of unauthorized access to criminal history, after she accessed DPS databases to search for information on her sister-in-law. More than 20 Chihuahuas were found in a Phoenix home where an elderly man had been dead for two weeks. Fourteen live Chihuahuas were inside the home, and eight were found dead. The surviving dogs were treated at the Arizona Human Society facility in Sunnyslope, and should be ready for adoption by the end of the week...Four suspects who tried to break into a home near 83rd Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road on Tuesday were shot at by a man inside the house. The suspects fled in their vehicle, but crashed it and were apprehended by police. No injuries were reported, and the victim had not been charged...Blockbuster Inc. is installing DVD rental kiosks in more than 100 Bashas' and Food City stores in Arizona. The kiosks hold about 900 movies and are a competitive move; other companies have similar rental kiosks, such as Illinois-based Redbox.
