White House Press Secretary Jay Carney told reporters traveling with the president yesterday that the incident was "overblown."
"It's not a very big deal, at all," Carney says. "Some of this is political theater, to some degree, I guess."
He went on to say "I really assume you guys have more important issues to cover."
Maybe, but it's not everyday you see a sitting governor shake her finger in the face of the president of the United States.
Brewer has since released a copy of the letter she handed the president before the now-infamous photo was taken -- after refusing to turn it over to the media, that is. It's nothing too dramatic -- check it out here.
