Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio really loves his job. The reason: he doesn't have to go through all that pesky "legal stuff" if he wants to put someone in jail.

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio was live at ~~the Apollo Theater~~ a Mojave County GOP fundraiser/comedy hour over the weekend, and while he didn't end his routine with "I'll be here all week -- be sure to tip your waitress," he should have.

America's self-proclaimed "toughest sheriff" had the GOPers in stitches talking about various issues, including his recent Elvis-themed panty party at Tent City, pink underwear (might be time for some new material), and how much he loves his bosses: Maricopa County taxpayers (who foot the legal bills for the sheriff's (ahem) hilarious jailhouse antics).

Arpaio crows about his history in law enforcement, and continues to bellyache over the fact that immigration policy-makers don't seek his advice when it comes to roundin' up those pesky Messicans.
