It seems that inmates at Sheriff Joe Arpaio's jails will be going hungry this Thanksgiving, because the Turkey Day menu at gulag de Arpaio sounds absolutely inedible.
In years past, Arpaio used to make a song and dance about ponying up an extra six cents an inmate to serve them something that resembled a Thanksgiving meal. Not this year.

The main course of this year's meal is something called "turkey soy casserole." (Recall that Arpaio forced the inmates into vegetarianism a few months ago.)
We tried to Google "turkey soy casserole recipes" and came back with nothing of the sort. Inmates who say prayers before meals may want to consider using that time to pray for their own safety.
Whatever "turkey soy casserole" is, inmates are getting five ounces of it.
As always, keep in mind that many of Arpaio's inmates haven't been convicted of crimes (something about a presumption of innocence).
You can see the rest of the menu below, which also sounds disgusting, when you think of the jail-caliber equivalent of the real food items.
If it's any consolation, MCSO's calculations are that each of the Thanksgiving meals this year are 12 cents cheaper than last year's, which could make for a savings of around $1,000, depending on how many inmates are in there.
That almost starts to make a dent in the millions upon millions of dollars Arpaio's cost taxpayers in lawsuit settlements, legal fees, a trip to Hawaii, and other garbage.
