Republicans in Congress are suddenly on board with immigration reform -- specifically, a bipartisan plan that would create a pathway to citizenship for 11 million undocumented immigrations -- according to Senator John McCain.

"Well, I'll give you a little straight talk," McCain said on ABC's This Week. "Look at the last election. Look at the last election. We are losing, dramatically, the Hispanic vote, which we think should be ours, for a variety of reasons."

The "second of all" point McCain had was a little more sympathetic than explaining that Republicans need votes from Hispanic people.

"We can't go on forever with 11 million people living in this country in the shadows and an illegal status," McCain continued. "We cannot forever have children who were brought here by their parents when they were small children to live in the shadows as well."

As you can imagine, this is inducing bowel movements and cries of "amnesty" from Arizona's right-wing crowd.

There's no actual legislation yet, but more details are supposed on this plan supported by McCain are supposed to be announced today.
