A man described as a bush-league version of the "Rock Burglar" is probably responsible for "at least" 42 burglaries that occurred in the Valley this summer, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office.
Kilian Hale -- a 50-year-old guy who lives with his mommy in Sun Lakes -- is accused of making off with more than $100,000 worth of stuff, and selling a bunch of it at various pawn shops.

Whereas the "Rock Burglar" allegedly burglarized hundreds of houses over 17 years -- including the homes of former Vice President Dan Quayle, and former Diamondbacks players Steve Finley and Mark Grace -- Hale's not quite accused of being that elaborate.
Hale's accused of also using rocks to break into houses, but didn't quite make it for 17 years.
The Sheriff's Office says Chandler police forwarded the tip to MCSO deputies about Hale -- a "suspicious person" -- and deputies started conducting surveillance on Hale.
MCSO says deputies watched Hale sell stolen goods to a few pawn shops. The 42 houses he's accused of emptying were around Sun Lakes, Chandler, and Phoenix.
Thanks to the drugs Hale allegedly had when deputies caught up with him, Hale's also facing a couple drug charges, along with charges of burglary and trafficking in stolen property.
MCSO says several search warrants were served, and some of the items stolen during the crimes have been recovered.
