A Phoenix couple tossed their meth and kids in the car to go on a ride to a Discount Tire store Friday night, where they stole seven tires.
A witness watched as Kristina Francis and her husband, Michael, stole the truck tires from a Discount Tire store near 18th Street and Camelback Road around 7 p.m., according to court documents. Working as a couple, police say Michael loaded the stolen tires into the truck bed and Kristina drove away.

Police found the Francis family stopped at a Circle K. They pulled the truck over and police noticed Kristina's 6- and 8-year-old sons sitting in the back.
Police asked Kristina and her husband to exit the truck, and police say Kristina told the officers she wanted to let them know she had a gun in her purse, but left out the part about meth in her bra.
Kristina, who has a prior felony conviction -- surprise, for theft -- and is not allowed to carry a weapon, told police the 9mm handgun belonged to her husband, who had placed it in the purse just before they were stopped.
At that point she offered up the drugs in her underwear.
Police read Kristina her rights, and she admitted the meth was theirs, that she knew her husband was stealing the tires, and, yes, it was stupid and dangerous to do all of this with her kids in the truck, according to the report.
Police returned the tires to the store, and booked Kristina into jail on two counts of endangering the life or health of a minor, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of dangerous drugs, and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.
Michael was charged with theft and endangering the life or health of a minor.
