The Phoenix Coyotes continued their strong offseason Monday afternoon by re-signing Wojtek Wolski to a two-year deal.

As always with the Yotes, terms of the deal were not available, but says nhlscap.com, it's worth $3.8 million a year.

Last season was a breakout year for Wolski as he registered new career-highs in just about every offensive category while playing for both the Colorado Avalanche and Phoenix.

Traded to the Yotes in early March, Wolski helped carry the offense as the team made a surprising run to the playoffs.

In 80 games last season, Wolski had 23 goals and 42 assists (65 total points) while tallying a +21 rating.

The 21st overall pick in the 2004 draft, Wolski scored 18 points in 20 games with the Yotes and finished as their leading scorer. He also appeared in all seven playoff games, leading the team with four goals.

Wolski is the biggest scoring threat on the Yotes. Without him, the offense would surely suffer.

Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney is sure pulling all of the correct strings this summer for the Yotes.

Besides re-signing Wolski, the Yotes also re-signed Taylor Pyatt a week ago.

Maloney himself won the NHL GM of the Year Award earlier this month.

Add on the Jack Adams Coach of the Year Award for head coach Dave Tippett and a leadership award for captain Shane Doan and Phoenix is making their presence known in the hockey world.

So far, so good this offseason for the Coyotes.
