Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu Has Wide, and Early Lead

With results in from about half of the precincts in Pinal County, voters are giving Sheriff Paul Babeu an early -- and likely permanent -- lead over his challengers Ty Morgan and Kevin Taylor. With results in from about half of the precincts in Pinal County, voters are giving Sheriff Paul Babeu an early -- and likely permanent -- lead over his challengers Ty Morgan and Kevin Taylor.

According to early results, Babeu, a Republican, has 32,362 votes, about 53 percent, while Democratic opponent Taylor is registering 21,011, or about 34.5 percent.

Ty Morgan, an Independent, has captured about 12 percent of the vote with 7,350 votes.

Again, these are preliminary results coming from only about half of the precincts.
