Phoenix police Sergeant Darren Burch says the suspect seems to have confronted the man "for no apparent reason."

UPDATE July 22, 10:52 a.m.: An arrest has been made. Click here for details.

The 70-year-old victim was standing near a bus stop at 27th Avenue and McDowell Road around 8 p.m. on July 11 when he was approached by the man pictured above.

In an e-mail, Burch says "the suspect walked up to him for no apparent reason, looked him up and down, shouted profanity and punched him once on the side of the head."

The guy ran away, while the elderly man was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The suspect was captured on camera at a nearby convenience store, with tattoos on the back of both arms and a San Francisco Giants hat.

There's a reward of up to $1,000 if you help the cops find out who and where this guy is, by calling Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
