Like many retirees, former Boston mob boss Whitey Bulger has come to Arizona for his later years.

Bulger's not exactly moving to Sun City, though -- he's been transferred to the U.S. Penitentiary in Tucson.

Bulger, now 84, was convicted last year on 31 charges, including racketeering, money laundering, and extortion. The charges had implicated Bulger in nearly a dozen murders, and Bulger received a couple of life sentences.

He was on the run from federal authorities for about 16 years, most of it spent on the FBI's most-wanted list.

Bulger's new neighbors at the federal prison in Tucson include Louis Eppolito, one of two former NYPD detectives convicted of working with the mafia in New York; Brian Mitchell, the guy who kidnapped Elizabeth Smart; Steven Green, one of several Army soldiers implicated in the gang-rape and murder of a 14-year-old Iraqi girl and the murder of her family; and a couple of former leaders of Columbia's Norte del Valle drug cartel and the MS-13 gang.
