According to this report, there is now no chance that Stoudemire will commit to a long-term deal with Phoenix.
For Suns fans who are hoping for Amar'e returns to Sand Land, we're sorry -- it doesn't look good.
In the report, an ESPN source says Kerr's departure is the final straw for Stoudemire.
"Stoudemire is done," the source claims. "He is done."
Stoudemire has already said he isn't going to sign his $17.7 million player option for next season, leaving a long-term deal as the only option left.
Stoudemire, who is a free agent if he's not re-signed by June 30, and his agent were reportedly in contract talks with Kerr last week before he and the Suns decided to part ways.
Any possibility of Amar'e re-signing seems to be out the window.
Not a bad thing if you ask us -- depending on whether somebody as good or better is signed to replace him.
