There's this thing called The Zone. (No, Phoenicians, not that super scary area in the avenues near the Arizona State Capitol.) It's that Zen-like state where you're being and not doing, whether its creating art or dominating an opponent in sports.
On November 4, 2008 in East Rutherford, New Jersey, Raja Bell (pictured) of the Suns was in b-ball bliss against the New Jersey Nets. The shooting guard nailed all six of his three-point attempts on his way to scoring 22 points in a not-even-close 114-86 victory. It wasn't the first time Bell had perfected the three-ball in a game; he has accomplished that feat two other times during an eight-year NBA career.
Here's hoping that Bell and the rest of the Suns shoot lights out once again when the Nets come to town for a rematch.
Tip-off's at 6 p.m. Sunday, November 30, at U.S. Airways Center. Fox Sports Arizona will televise the game. Go to www.suns.com. -- Steve Jansen
