At today's Taste of Elegance culinary competition, 10 chefs will each prepare a signature pork dish to be judged by a panel. Attendees can sample each entree and vote on the best in the People's Choice Award. Christian Movassaghi, chef at the Arizona Room Patio Grill at Scottsdale's Casino Arizona, will be competing. The event runs from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the East Valley Institute of Technology in Mesa. Tickets cost $15 per person. Reserve tickets here.  

Bordeaux Wine Tasting Event at Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Gainey Ranch

Bordeaux fans, rejoice. The Bordeaux Wine Tasting event at Scottsdale's Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Gainey Ranch gives attendees the chance to sample more than 60 Bordeaux wines from more than 30 vineyards. Hors d'oeuvres also will be served during the tasting. The event runs from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. General admission tickets cost $125. Hundred Acre Wine Dinner at The Boulders Resort & Spa

Carefree's The Boulders Resort & Spa will host a four-course dinner paired with Napa Valley's Hundred Acre Wine. Guests can look forward to entrees such as chilled crab salad paired with Hundred Acre's Cherry Tart Chardonnay and bacon wrapped pork tenderloin paired with the California vineyard's Cherry Pie Stanly Ranch Pinot Noir. The reception starts at 6:30 p.m. Dinner begins at 7:15 p.m. Tickets cost $99 per person. Small Bites and Live Music at the Nobuo at Teeter House

Chef Nobuo Fukuda will kick off the Nobuo at Teeter House Garden Session Series this week. The events are a set of outdoor patio concerts featuring live music paired with the restaurant's signature Japanese light bites and drinks that each cost $10 or less. All week 

Family-owned Mexican spot Isabel's Amor is now serving happy hour seven days a week from 2 to 6 p.m. Highlights from this Gilbert joint's new menu include $2 street tacos filled with options including carne asada, $3 draft beers, $5 margaritas, and Travis Nass' $6 craft cocktails. Flower Child's Uptown location is now serving breakfast on Saturday and Sunday from 9 to 11 a.m. Customers can enjoy Flower Child's healthy morning cuisine including one of restaurant's signature breakfast bowls like the Protein Scramble — a combination of scrambled eggs, spinach, roasted Brussels sprouts, broccoli, charred onions, Tuscan kale pesto, Greek yogurt, and cheddar — alongside other options like the whole grain toast topped with crushed avocado spread and an assortment of gluten-free pastries. Make Chocolate at Zak's Chocolate

Participants who take Zak's Chocolate Chocolate Making Class in Scottsdale can expect to take home their very own chocolate bars in addition to roasted cocoa beans and cacao nibs. They'll also experience a tasting of Zak's single-origin chocolates and a factory tour. Zak's recommends wearing close-toed shoes for the factory tour. New Times Food Truck Cuisine at the Street Eats Food Truck Festival
Saturday, January 30 and Sunday, January 31

This Saturday and Sunday, Salt River Fields at Talking Stick will be filled with food trucks dishing out their signature cuisine at this year's Street Eats Food Truck Festival.
