Chandler Greek Festival Friday, May 2
This Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, Chandler will host the spring Taste of Greece Festival with three days of food, dance, and fun. The event will feature live entertainment on all three days and plenty of Greek food including stuffed grape leaves and the sweet, flaky baklava. Check out our coverage and slideshow from last year's event for an idea of the food that will be available. The doors will open at 5 p.m. on Friday night and will close at 10 p.m. On both Saturday and Sunday the festivities will start at 11 a.m. Saturday the fest will end at 10 p.m. and at 7 p.m. on Sunday. Kentucky Derby Party Saturday, May 3
We may be a long way from Kentucky but the Second Story Liquor Bar in Scottsdale will be going all out on Saturday in honor of the occasion. The bar and restaurant's Kentucky Derby Party will begin at 11 a.m. and will include brunch (served all day) and derby-themed food. There will also be a mint and fresh peach juleps from Schnepf Farms, as well as Best Hat and Best Dressed contests so be sure to come prepared. Food Truck Olivepalooza Sunday, May 4
This Sunday, head to the Queen Creek Olive Mill for a Food Truck Olivepalooza event. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m local food trucks Spice It Up, The Grilled Cheese Truck, Burgers Amore, Roasted Shallot, and The Great Pho King will be serving food in the front olive grove. There will also be live music, complementary wine tastings, bocce ball, an outdoor bar, and an Olive Oil 102 class and mill tour. Admission is free. Patio Party at The Gladly Sunday, May 4
If you haven't made it down to Little Miss BBQ in Phoenix, then this weekend will bring a good excuse to finally try their impressive 'cue. The new restaurant has teamed up with The Gladly and Noble Bread for a one-day Patio Party with barbecue and pizza. Little Miss BBQ will be serving a Trinity Plate with spare ribs, brisket, sausage, and grits for $17 while Noble Bread will be offering margherita or sausage and rapini specialty pizzas for $14. A dollar from every food item sold will go toward Culinary Works, a local organization dedicated to helping autistic adults achieve personal and professional success within the food industry. Pop Up Market at West Elm Sunday, May 4
If you're a fan of The Simple Farm's goat milk caramels but have a hard time making it to the Thursday morning markets, then you're in luck because this Sunday you can catch them at West Elm in Scottsdale. The Simple Farm will be joined by Pistol Whipped Pastry (baker Rachel Miller is a Chow Bella contributor), who will be selling items from the regular pastry line as well as some specialty items. The Pop Up Market will be open from noon to 3 p.m. at West Elm at the Scottsdale Quarter.
