"Duckaholics Anonymous" Viewing Party Wednesday, September 4

Don't ask us why or how, but A&E's Duck Dynasty is officially the hottest thing to hit reality T.V. pretty much ever. And with 11.8 million viewers turning in for the season premiere last month, we're guessing there are at least a few fans floating around the Valley who might want to head to the Shout House in Glendale every Wednesday to watch the show at 7 p.m. with a whole gaggle of friends. The dueling piano bar will be serving up Southern eats including fried chicken and waffles and shrimp and grits as well as $3 Sweet Tea cocktails and $1 well drinks. There will be Duck Dynasty bingo (with free drinks as prizes) and a best beard contest for which one lucky man will take home an outdoorsmen's package valued at $250.

Guest Chef Dinner with Gregory Casale at Posh Friday, September 6

If you've been around the Valley dining scene for a while, you might recognize the name Gregory Casale, although these days the chef is heading things up for Peter Piper Pizza. It's not as glamorous a gig as when he operated his own Gregory's Grill and then at Gregory's World Bistro. In the early 2000s Casale was making a name for himself as a pioneer and avant garde chef - before life took him a route that landed him on the corporate side of things, first at Paradise Bakery and later with the pizza buffet. This Friday he'll be tapping back into his creative side with a six-course dinner at Posh. The menu includes Tomato Sorbet with Dashi, Bonito Flakes, Watercress & Miso and Mushrooms "On a Stick" with Fog, Herbs & Foam - in the restaurant's words, "this could be one of the most epic guest chef dinners of all time." A seat will cost you $60 a person with wine pairings available for either $30 or $80 for sommelier pairings. RSVP online or call 480.663.7674. The whole menu is available on the Posh website.
