We already told you that Scottsdale's Ahipoki Bowl would open a second location in the southeast Valley later this summer, and by the end of this week the wait will be over. On Thursday, July 21, at 11 a.m., Ahipoki Bowl will officially open its doors at 820 North 54th Street in Chandler.

The restaurant will be located inside the Chandler Pavilions Shopping Center and is the second Valley location to open since Ahipoki Bowl expanded to Arizona earlier this  ear. In addition to the Scottsdale restaurant, located at 2805 North Scottsdale Road, the company also has locations in Hollywood and Temple City, California.

The fast-casual dining spot will serve build-your-own poke bowls — poke (pronounced "poke-eh") being the Hawaiian raw fish salad that can be topped with everything from crispy onion to chile flakes. As at the Scottsdale location, the Chandler restaurant will allow diners to choose from either a rice or salad base, then top it with a selection of raw fish including tuna, spicy tuna, salmon, shrimp, octopus, and scallops. Sauces including house spicy, house creamy, and sweet citrus come next, followed by an unlimited selection of toppings such as ginger, fresh cucumber, seaweed, sesame, green onion, and jicama.

Both the restaurant's small and large bowls cost about $10 each, making it a popular option for diners looking for a healthy option on-the-go.
