I am disappointed. I have been involved in the local wine scene now for almost four years, and this publication was always my go-to guide for visitors and locals as well.

The publication delineated with easy-to-read maps where wineries were located, showcased a local winemaker or winery in every issue, informed us which restaurants were pouring local wine.

The magazine was more than that, though. It was like the "love that binds" -- a magazine where winemakers had a platform to tell their story and where all things relating to the local food and wine scene were broadcast. Although the printed publication is going away, the online presence is not.

I know I will be saving the final issue.

The publisher's letter:

After six wonderful years of publishing AZ Wine Lifestyle (formerly Arizona Vines & Wines), we are sad to announce that our Winter 2013 issue will be our final print issue of the magazine. The difficult decision was made after assessing the publication's financial sustainability.

Our website (AZWineLifestyle.com) will remain active by Publisher Rhonni Moffitt, and our hopes are to keep our widely-viewed Events Calendar (AZWineEvents.com) as up-to-date as possible with the help of our PR and wine industry community. Effective immediately, anyone who wishes to upload an event to be displayed on the Events Calendar will have full access to do so on our website. This is an outlet to reach your audience and represent your clients, so please be sure to fill in all necessary fields--date, time, cost, location, event details and event website.

Additionally, our back issue articles will remain available for readers to view on our website, and we plan to keep up with weekly online features. Please continue to send Arizona-wine-related stories and press releases to [email protected] for consideration. Blogging opportunities will also be available for those who express interest.

Over the past six years, we have enjoyed working with each and every one of you--winemakers, chefs, artisans, contributors, photographers and PR folks alike! We thank you for your support and assistance in helping us make AZ Wine Lifestyle a fantastic resource for wine, beer, cocktail and food lovers in and around Arizona. We have enjoyed taking part in championing our Arizona vineyards and local businesses. To our readers, we thank you for making our AZ Wine Lifestyle a part of your lifestyle, and taking part in learning, exploring and supporting our local businesses and wine industry.

It has been an exhilarating six years, and we thank each and every one of you for being a part of it!

Sincerely,

Rhonni Moffitt Publisher AZ Wine Lifestyle
