A wise man (Homer Simpson) once said, "To alcohol! The cause of and solution to all of life's problems."

And if the problem happens to be how to raise brain cancer awareness, then the Beer for Brains RAREaffair has glasses full of the solution.

From 7:30 p.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday, November 10, Beer for Brains, the nonprofit, Arizona-based organization of craft beer lovers, distributors and brewers committed to raising awareness about brain cancer, will host its premier event: RAREaffair. And this year, the no-limit food-and-drink-tasting event will be held at the Arizona Science Center. Or as Homer might say, "Woo-hoo! Suds and science!"

Nearly 800 beer lovers attended last year's event and VIP tickets sold out. Which means getting your tickets early (go early bird to save some scratch) and digging into the deets is crucial to your giant-cocktail-party-with-a-cause good time.

Tickets for this year's Beer for Brains RAREaffair are $75 until October 27th (after that date, the price goes up to $90) or $175 for a VIP pass.

Here's what the cost of the ticket includes:

Food Over a dozen restaurants will be on hand supplying the eats including Rico's American Grill, The Praying Monk, Hermosa Inn, Bistro 24, SanTan Brewing Company, and O.H.S.O. Eatery + Nanobrewery.

Beer A wide range of craft beer will be flowing as well as a special brew made just for the Beer For Brains Foundation by Sonoran called RAREaffair Ale. There will also be a collaboration beer from Papago Brewing and Odell Brewing, Bell's Brewing Roundhouse Rye IPA, Maui Brewing Liquid Breadfruit, New Belgium Brewing's Trip 14, and more.

Wine and Liquor Beer not your thing? There will also be wine offerings such as Galante Estates, Artesa, and TR Elliot. Plus, special whiskeys, tequilas, vodkas and other spirits.

Entertainment What would a party with beer be without live music, an airbrush artist painting the Beer For Brains logo on event-goers' heads, silent auctions, and prize raffles? Answer: not a party.
