New Times' annual Best of Phoenix A'Fare is just around the corner and there's still time to get your ticket to the party. On Saturday, October 4 we'll be celebrating the best that our city has to offer with food, drinks, and live entertainment.

In keeping with this year's theme, Tales of the City, we're having our 15th annual celebration at the Burton Barr Central Library. There will be dozens of local restaurants, drinks from a handful of local bars, and music from some of the Valley's best DJs and bands.

They'll be joined by dozens of other dining spots including Giuseppe's on 28th, The Vig, The Monastery, T-Bone Steakhouse, Baby Kay's Cajun Kitchen, Stacy's Smokehouse BBQ, Z'Tejas Southwestern Grill, BOSA Donuts, 5 & Diner, Nabers, Sweet Tomatoes, Frost Gelato, The Watershed, Oatmeal Cafe, Fogon Mexican Eatery, Rico's American Grill, Karl's Bakery, Detroit Coney Grill, Focaccia Fiorentina, HEK Yeah Barbecue, The Rose & Crown, Wild Game Sports Grill, Boondocks Patio & Grill, Metropolis, Jam Rock Cafe & Grill, and Central Wine Bar.

On the drinks side, look for cocktails, beer, and wine poured by bartenders from Mother Bunch Brewing, Rips Ales & Cocktails, The Beverly, Tilted Kilt, McFadden's Restaurant and Saloon, Devil's Advocate, Stacy's @ Melrose, Wild Game Sports Grill, and Copper Blues.

Samuel L Cool J, "a retro soul supergroup," will be performing during the night on the 5th Floor of the library, while DJ Mane One spins on the 2nd Floor.

A few more important details: This is a 21 and over event and dress code is cocktail attire. Doors open at 8 p.m. and the party goes until midnight.

Now through Friday, general admission tickets cost $45 per person. That includes entry, samples of cuisine from participating restaurants, cocktails, wine, beer, and entertainment.

On the day of the event, general admission tickets will go up to $55 per person.
