Here's something else to keep your eye out for this weekend at the Devoured Food + Wine Classic: the first print edition of Bite magazine.

Bite launched in February 2013 as an online-only publication. But now publishers Michelle Jacoby and Mark Lipczynski have brought the magazine off the screen and into paper form. The first issue will be 68-pages with stories about food and drink establishments all over the state.

"We want our readers to be inspired to go to these restaurants, food trucks, bars, and breweries" Jacoby says in a press release. Jacoby is also managing editor of Bayou City Magazine, a lifestyle magazine in Houston, Texas.

The first issue of Bite will include stories about Tap & Bottle in Tucson, chef Gio Osso's Virtu in Scottdale, Upward Project's Joyride Taco House, and L'Auberge de Sedona. The magazine also looks at food-related issues and will feature groups such as Kitchen on the Street, which works to fight child hunger, and Fed By Threads that uses fashion to feed the hungry.

The upcoming issue will also include Clever Koi, Cartel Coffee Lab, Noble Breads, the Mix-Up Bar, Coppa Café, Four Eight Wineworks, and Agritopia.

Bite will be published four times a year with additional content available online at ReadBite.com.

This news of a new local food and drink-focus publication comes not long after the announcement that AZ Wine Lifestyle (formerly Arizona Vines & Wines) magazine -- which was a print and online publication for years -- would switch to an online-only format. The magazine, published by Rhonni Moffitt, printed its last issue in Winter 2013.
