The Winter CSA includes weekly bundles of seasonal produce, herbs, eggs, and flowers from January 12 through March 29. It also includes cooking classes, tours of the working farm, weekly recipes to help you make use of your share of the goods, and Maya's burlap bag. Unlike most Black Friday deals offered today, this one is on food, which is a necessity last we checked, so you won't be left with buyer's remorse or an unhappy giftee. Limited shares are available. This deal -- available now through 11:59 p.m. on November 26 -- is first come, first served.
The regular price for Maya's Winter CSA is $300, and right now you can get a second one for $250. For 12 weeks of food, that comes out to $25/week for your share, and a little over $20/week to get one for your friend. Orders can be placed online, but be sure to also fill out the membership agreement with your and your recipient's contact information and mail it in by Monday, November 26. Payment and applications can also be dropped off in person tomorrow at the Downtown Phoenix Public Market or Old Town Scottsdale Farmers' Market.
What can you expect to receive? Currently in season at Maya's Farm are beets, radishes, turnips, carrots, spring onions, broccoli, fennel, several varieties of greens including Tuscano kale and rainbow chard, and herbs such as marjoram and dill.
