There's something exciting brewing at the Farm at South Mountain and if you keep a close eye on things down there, you may already have heard about the store opening next to Quiessence. This Friday, Botanica at the Farm at South Mountain will open to the public and we're pretty excited about the collection of local purveyors they'll be featuring.

The Botanica website describes the store as "a modern market for the garden, patio and kitchen." In addition to a number of Valley-made food products, the store will offer garden, patio and home items for sale, including art and coffee mugs.
Food-wise the store will carry Queen Creek Olive Mill oils and tapenades as well as Tracy Dempsey confections. They'll also have Chato Loco jalapeno jellies, Muneca Mexicana mole and Arizona Spice Co. salsas to represent the south of the border cuisine. GoodyTwos toffee, Decio pasta and Ramona Farms tepary beans round out the list.
The only out-of-state food vendor will be Portland, Oregon's The Meadow. Botanica will be selling their gourmet sea salts.
Friday will be a soft opening for the store so don't expect all the inventory to be in stock just yet. If you can wait it out, the store will have it's grand opening later this month.
