It's been about a year since we told you Changing Hands would come to Phoenix as a part of The Newton, the 17,227-square-foot mixed-use multi-tenant space to open in the space formerly occupied by Beef Eaters Restaurant on Third Avenue and Camelback Road.

The bookstore's second location also will include the First Draft Book Bar -- and good news for booze and coffee-minded folks, it's hiring now.

The 40-seat beer, wine, and coffee bar is looking for a bar manager/lead bartender who will be responsible for overseeing a team of bartenders, bar backs, and baristas. It also seeks bartenders and baristas.

You can download applications for all positions on the Changing Hands website. The First Draft Book Bar is expected to open in May.

In addition to Changing Hands Bookstore and the First Draft Book Bar, The Newton will house a new restaurant from chef Justin Beckett of Beckett's Table. The restaurant, called Southern Rail, will "focus on the flavors of the South" and will serve lunch and dinner. The menu will include craft beers, small-batch spirits, and food inspired by the coastal Carolinas, Cajun and Creole cuisine from New Orleans, and south Texas' slow-cooked BBQ.
