On the heels of Royal Coffee Bar shuttering its location in Downtown Phoenix, Next Coffee Company, a neighborhood java shop in Glendale, has announced it will be closing its doors as well.

First opened in 2008 and across the street from Midwestern University, Next started as a hangout for college students, but soon added a mini-market, local art, beer, and live entertainment such as music and comedy to expand its following of fans. Four years later, and citing the economy as its downfall, the coffee shop has let its customers know it will be open for limited hours until its last day, Tuesday, July 10, and will be selling its belongings in the interim.

Read on to see Next Coffee Company's closing post on Facebook.

A post on the company's Facebook page reads as follows:

"We are so incredibly sad to say that Next Coffee Company will be closing. This economy has finally caught us and we can no longer keep our doors open. We would love to keep this special place of music, art, and creativity going!

We will be open for limited hours through July 10 ...the last hoorah will be Tuesday Bluesday with Tom Mein and his Next Band 6:30pm....please come in a say hi!
