Hungry for your early morning serving of food news, with no preservatives or additives?

CSM Cards
Show your support for the Downtown Phoenix Public Market and purchase a CSM card which are available in denominations of $50, $100, $250 and $500. Need a little encouragement? If you are one of the first five people to purchase a $500 CSM card, you will receive two tickets to see Jack Johnson at Cricket Pavilion October 10th.

What's a CSM Card and Why do I need it, you ask? A CSM Card is basically like a gift card but with magical powers. You spend the money(that let's face it, you are going to spend anyways) up front and then you use your card for purchases from the market and it gives you the ability to take advantage of great weekly specials. This week's special is buy three bottles of Pillsbury Wine and get the fourth for a penny.  Visit their website for more info.

Sportsman's Beer and Wine Tastings
Forget spending and arm and a leg at a certain garden's beer festival Friday(read more reasons why here) save your pennies and check out Sportsman's Fine Wine and Spirits Saturday. From 5 to 7 p.m. the Scottsdale Sportsman's location is having a complimentary try it before you buy it happy hour. Sample an array of beers from Samuel Smith and enjoy a special English inspired menu in the wine bar.

If wine is more you thing, the Phoenix Sportsman's will be hosting a wine tasting lunch from 2 until 4 p.m. Enjoy a complimentary wine tasting with Chris French of Valley of the Sun Fine Wines featuring wines from Freemark Abbey Vineyards. The wines will also be served by the glass for $5 and up and a selection of $5 appetizers will be available in the bar.

Homemade Sriracha
Need a quick project for this weekend? Love all things spicy? Why not make your own Sriracha and Chili Paste. Super easy and it will last an entire month in your fridge without a single preservative. Fresno peppers can be a little pricey ($5.99 per lb at Safeway) but they are so tasty and worth the money. Spicy!
