Country music fans might want to make plans to get their boot-scootin' selves down to Old Town Scottsdale on Thursday, July, 4, for the grand opening of Dierks Bentley's Whiskey Row.

The 5,200-square-foot bar, restaurant, and live music venue comes courtesy of Phoenix-born and Grammy-nominated country music star Dierks Bentley and Riot Hospitality Group, the folks behind El Hefe Super Macho Taqueria, The Lodge, and American Junkie in Scottsdale.

"Opening a bar in my hometown is something I've always wanted to do," says Bentley. "These guys have spent a lot of time and put a lot of thought into really cool details that will make it the perfect place to watch a game or listen to music or just get a few drinks with friends. I'm looking forward to helping break it in."

Here's what Whiskey Row goers can expect.

Described as "old-school country flare [sic] with a Scottsdale twist," Whiskey Row, located in Scottsdale's downtown entertainment district, will serve a menu of familiar American bar food created by chef Samantha Roberts, whose former gigs include the defunct Mary Elaine's at The Phoenician and Aaron May's casual Italian restaurant Autostrada.

Dishes will include a fried pickle burger with housemade red onion jam topped with a blue-cheese-smothered bun and sweet treats like bourbon vanilla bean and Arizona honey pecan ice creams atop an apple fritter.

In the libations category, Whiskey Row will offer over 40 types of whiskey (natch) as well as special booths that feature three different beer taps and a never-before-seen-in-Arizona-until-now liquor tap. Thanks to these tech-minded taps, guests can pour their own beer and shots (think Coors Light, Blue Moon, and New Castle with liquors including Yukon Jack Whiskey, Grey Goose Vodka flavors, and American Honey Whiskey) right at the table and with zero wait times.

But the most interesting part of Whiskey Row may be its 400-square-foot, centrally placed stage that hangs from the ceiling directly above the bar. The stage offers a 360-degree view of the live performing acts, which will include a weekly parade of national and local country artists.
