For real "big cities," finding a place that serves quality food late night is a walk in the park. Literally. For Phoenix, eh, not so much.

But there are a few local eateries that also understand our late night needs. Here's a roundup of our favorites around town.

1. JoBot
Downtown's newest hangout for hipster garb, delicious coffee and happy stoned barristas just got better with new hours that extend their delectable crepes (both sweet and savory) until 4am on Friday and Saturday. Though the rest of the week only promises crepe heaven until midnight, word on the street is this will soon change to 2 am. Here's to hoping the rumors are true.

2. Mrs. White's Golden Rule Cafe
The Downtown Phoenix soul food staple offers mouth-watering fried chicken, collared greens, spicy wings and cheesy grits until 3 am on Friday and Saturday. During those wee hours in a weekend, who isn't hungry for some soul?

3. The Mellow Mushroom
Considering Tempe's "college town" status, it's about time more quality late night pizza joints popped up on Mill Ave. With stylish decor, wide selection of draft beers and daily reverse happy hour from 10 pm- close, you don't need to be a drunk college kid to dig this place. The Georgia-based pizza franchise serves their killer slices Sunday to Wednesday until 2 am and Thursday-Saturday 'til 3 am.

4. Kazimierz World Wine Bar
Quality late night nosh in Old Town Scottsdale doesn't get any better than Kazimierz. Their eclectic mix of global plates range from warm and gooey flat breads to spicy street tacos. Their kitchen stays open until 1:45am nightly, meaning we can indulge in gourmet goodness and screw up the pronunciation of Kazimierz, then blame it on the time of night.

5. The Rokerij
Though this East Phoenix eatery only serves food until midnight, their nightly $5 deal on all small plates from 10pm- midnight is worth rushing over for. Bacon wrapped scallops, steak tartar and chipotle ribs with Spanish rice priced at a 5 spot each? We should eat late more often.
