For the past three years, Tracey and Alex Chaker, owners of Gilbert-based Grizzly Foods, have been selling their homemade granola, balsamic vinegars, and Sticky Monkey Bun pastries in farmers markets throughout the Valley.
In July, the husband-and-wife team expanded their business to include a restaurant and baked goods shop in Mesa called Cafe 8.
Here's what diners can expect.

Located at 5235 East Southern Avenue (Higley Road and Southern Avenue), the Chakers' new restaurant serves up scratch-made eats, pastries, and daily specials.
Along with breakfast items like apple danish French toast and a Grizzly granola parfait, diners can expect salads, sandwiches, and several Mediterranean dishes such as lavash pizzas, grape leaves, and hummus.
A selection of pastries, made daily, may include Sticky Monkey Buns, cupcakes, lemon bars, banana bread, and muffins. Many items are gluten-free and vegan.
The Chakers will continue to make Grizzly Foods products available at farmers markets.
