In February, we told you about chef Kevin Binkley's plans to close his award-winning namesake restaurant and relocate to midtown Phoenix. The James Beard award-nominated chef told us he'll reopen Binkley's restaurant in the current Bink's Midtown space after closing that restaurant and renovating the space.

Now we know when both Bink's Midtown and Binkley's in Cave Creek will close. The last day of service at Bink's Midtown will be on June 5, while diners will have until July 2 to enjoy a final meal at Binkley's restaurant.

Chef Binkley will host a farewell dinner at Binkley's on June 22, which will be the final installment of the chef's annual tomato dinner. During the last two weeks of service in Cave Creek, the chef also plans to showcase some "greatest-hits menu items" from more than a decade's worth of meals he served at the restaurant.

The final dinner event at Bink's Midtown will be a Pillsbury Wine Dinner hosted on May 18.

As we told you in February, Binkley plans to move his fine-dining restaurant to midtown Phoenix and to offer customers a completely new dining experience. The new restaurant concept will include about 20 seats and will offer one seating three days a week and two seatings on Friday and Saturday nights. Diners will enjoy a set daily menu written to showcase seasonal produce, including vegetables grown at the urban farm Binkley and his wife, Amy, operate in Central Phoenix.

The chef opened Binkley's restaurant in Cave Creek in 2005, followed by Cafe Bink, also in Cave Creek, eight years ago. He opened his first Phoenix restaurant, Bink's Midtown, in 2013, adding Bink's Scottsdale to the list less than a year later.

Binkley says he has no immediate plans to close Cafe Bink or Bink's Scottsdale.
