Scottsdale has gained another place for food and drinks in Holy Spirits, a recently opened restaurant and bar located at 7318 East Stetson Drive. The dining and drinking spot offers beer, cocktails, and a menu of "tapas" — though the shareable dishes seem more like small plates than traditional Spanish cuisine.

The food menu includes options such as steamed mussels, New York strip skewers, and fried artichokes with most plates priced from $6 to $8.

Holy Spirits, which boasts the slogan "Cocktails from our Soul," also serves cocktails "prepared with fresh fruit and ingredients and garnished with anything from a slider to a jumbo shrimp such as the Bloody Mary," according to the website. There also about 20 beers on tap, and wine is available.

Holy Spirits comes courtesy of Scottsdale entrepreneur Bill Wallace, who's past projects include Club 411 on Mill Avenue in Tempe and Café Portobello, which was located at McDowell Mountain Ranch. Holy Spirits opened its doors about four weeks ago and takes over the space formerly occupied by Maloney's Tavern in Scottsdale. The space now features roll away garage doors that open onto a patio and a sleek, white quartz-topped bar.

You can nab happy hour deals at the new spot Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The offers include $4 well drinks, $1 off draft beer, $1 off  wine by the glass, and $7 specialty cocktails, according to the restaurant's Facebook.
