If you happen to be in Tucson this weekend, you might want to stop by the Mercado San Agustin for "HotDish in the Old Pueblo," a pop-up venture by Phoenix's Lara Mulchay and Joel LaTondress.

You might remember Mulchay from Petite Fromage, her (sadly) now-defunct Phoenix cheese shop. The self-described "cheesemonger" promises "future retail cheese and charcuterie sales" will be a part of HotDish Enterprise -- her new joint venture with Joel LaTondress, a web developer who has worked on special events with many Valley chefs.

HotDish is planning a brick and mortar establishment in the Biltmore/Arcadia area in early 2012. Sooner, expect the launch of "Community Supported Provisions," which they describe as "a membership-based program in which recipients will receive a box full of artisan cheeses, charcuterie and other fine foods on a weekly/monthly basis."

Or, as HotDish puts it, "think pop-up general store for foodies."

Cool.

Brunch this weekend in Tucson is Saturday and Sunday, 10 am to 2 pm. Learn more about Mercado San Agustin here.
