For novice cooks like ourselves, it's hard to imagine the intricate process of crafting a beautiful Italian meal like the ones north Scottsdale's Sassi has to offer.
This Sunday, December 6, though, executive chef Peter DeRuvo lets us normal folk in on his cooking secrets as he leads a demonstration and tasting in the Sassi kitchen at 3 p.m.
For $45 (plus tax and gratuity), participants will learn how to cook a three-course meal, including an antipasti, black squid ink risotto and cannoli. They'll also be able to taste the fruits of their labor, as well as enjoy Italian wine and Prosecco. To reserve a spot, call 480-502-9095.
