The (far) West Valley is on its way up -- the Valley food chain, that is.

Next Monday, Majerle's Sports Grill will open its third location at 13375 W. McDowell Rd., just west of Dysart Rd. in Goodyear.

Majerle's, which is named for (and owned by) Dan Majerle, the three-time NBA All-Star and current assistant coach to the Suns, originally opened in downtown Phoenix on 2nd St. and Washington in 1992, and was followed by a 2007 Chandler addition, located off the Loop 101 at Chandler Blvd.

Majerle's Goodyear will be the sports bar's first West Valley spot -- and maybe it will draw out the athletes that as Majerle's (9-Lounge) seems to.

In any case, it will surely be the place to go to watch a game (if you're not in the stadium itself). There will be no less than 20 high-def screens, including one that is 12 feet high.
