My Wine Cellar & Bistro in the Ahwatukee Foothills has become a go-to venue for wine education and socialization. From South African shiraz and malbec from Argentina to French Pinot noir and rose moscato from Italy, owner Zoya Vora-Shah supports small production boutique wines. She also started the festival last year, shortly after purchasing the business in 2011. The cost to attend is $25 including tax ahead of time or $20 cash at the door. The festival happens from noon until 3 p.m. To make reservations, call (480) 598-9463.
Vora-Shah says, "I am passionate about wines and this is a great way that I can share that with all the wine enthusiasts every year just before starting holiday season. The festival is great way to taste 20 different wines and enjoy a Sunday afternoon on our scenic patio." And rest assured, the patio is "to die for."
Chef Sarah Baer (former Executive Sous Chef at the Royal Palms Resort & Spa) will also have special food menu for attendees to purchase. Live music will be provided by the "What's the Big Idea" band on the patio.
All wines will be available for purchase at a discounted price. Now is the time to stock up for the holidays or just relax with wine and friends.
