Hear ye! Hear ye! As his first decree of 2011, the King has proposed that placing toppings atop a patty is passe and that the year of the stuffed burger will commence with his new, limited-time, Jalapeño & Cheddar BK Stuffed Steakhouse Burger. Now sayeth the new slogan, "In it. Not on it." repeatedly until the drawbridge closes. (cue trumpets)

Big news, burger biters! This week, Burger King unveiled the first stuffed burger on a national fast-food chain menu.

"With our first-ever stuffed sandwich, we're giving our guests what they want," said Burger King Vice President Jonathan Muhtar.

Really? And what do they want, exactly? Apparently, a thick "steakhouse" beef patty packed with chopped bits of jalapeño peppers and cheddar cheese, topped with lettuce, tomato, and a creamy poblano sauce served on a bakery bun for $3.99.

Oh. Okay then. Let's start the stuff-fest and give this burger a whirl.

The Pro: This burger packs a punch and if you're into spicy, you're gonna get it in every bite.

The Pro or Con -- Depending on How You Look At It: If you could give a King's crap about BK's signature "flame-broiled" taste, you won't mind that the added spicy flavor leaves little to nothing left of it. Got love for the "flame broiled" flavor? Good luck. The only time you'll taste it after pigging out on this patty is when you burp it up later. And you will.

The Cons: Let's all agree that BK's lettuce and tomatoes look and taste like they came out of their dumpster instead of their kitchen -- not that it matters. With the Jalapeño & Cheddar Stuffed Steakhouse Burger, if it isn't the overpowering heat wiping out all traces of other ingredients, it's the salty cheese. And the poblano sauce? Please, it's essentially just beige-colored mayonnaise. Plus, my bun was somewhat hard, which forced most of the ingredients to do the slip 'n' slide onto the paper wrapper. Good times with the King, yo!

And the price of $3.99? Really? Seems like a lot to shell out for a so-so stuffed burger. Get the combo meal and you're out another two bucks.

Would Fry Girl Order it Up Again?: No. I like spicy, but I like to taste the rest of my burger, too -- and the Jalapeño & Cheddar BK Stuffed Steakhouse Burger don't play that way. Plus, the $3.99 price is whack. I'd rather pay a buck more for a double-patty cheeseburger at Five Guys.

What about you, BK biters? Anyone else tried the new Jalapeño & Cheddar BK Stuffed Steakhouse Burger? What did you think?
